When you did your cleaning did you clean the area behind where the low limit is mounted as well as the switch itself and make certain that the switch is against the exhaust manifold or is fully seated in the exhaust air flow (if this is where it goes on the EF3) ?

This in addition to a faulty (worn out) switch can cause it to not function at the proper temperature.
All nice and clean in the vent but the switch itself was a bit dirty so I cleaned it up and put it back in. Doing another test run right now

OK its all clean in the vent but the switch itself was a bit dirty so I cleaned it up and did another test run . it is better but still not where it should be . now it turns off at 151 f ... It should be turning off at 120 f shouldn't it ??

I just worked on a Breckwell P2700 with a very similar problem. After the off button was pressed and the stove cooled down, the room blower and exhaust blowers kept running! LOL I checked the low limit snap disc and it was stuck closed. It was one of those mini switches that I am not fond of. So I replaced it with a new regular size low limit just like the Enviro uses and Shezam! The stove worked fine!

I suspect in this case the low limit is stuck open or opening up way too soon and shutting down the blowers! That is not good.

When you replaced it did you use a original from enviro ?? Or a non OEM part ??

Most snap discs are made by Selco Company, that is what I use. Stove manufactuers just charge more. :-)

(broken link removed to http://www.thermodisc.com) might disagree on who makes the most snap discs. However you are correct that most snap discs are fairly general as long as the size, action on temperature, and temperature ratings match. But personally I don't like plastic cased snap discs on high temperature applications like PoF thermo discs. Ceramic is much more durable for that particular application and all I saw on the Selco website was plastic cased, but I didn't spend much time looking and could have missed it.

On a side note, why do you dislike the smaller size PoF disc that Breckwell uses? I haven't had any particular trouble with them myself. Have you had significantly more of those fail on you than the others?

Depends upon the temperature rating of the switch I don't have an EF3 manual in front of me let alone know the actual rating of the disc on your stove (which may or may not be what the manual says should be there). It should change state (for most switches) within 5 degrees of its on and off temperatures.

guys while I was working on my auger bushing, & switching my augerr timer module over to a 3sec. Timer on my environ ef3 insert, my stove works great now but the only way I can shut the fan off now is if I un plug the unit, everything is hook-up,,could this be my lo-limit swich

That would be the most likely culprit.
