I’m running a 2040 CAT-C in my shop and I’m interested in adding the blower assembly… but the new prices are crazy.

Does anyone have this or made something to replace it? It’s not clear how / where it mounts…. But is seems like one could easily attach a generic fan to it. I have lots of metal fab experience, so I could easily fabricate some sort of adapter.

I have one. It mounts on the bottom in the back, the switch is mounted right by the handle holder with a thermostat in the back as well. I find it to work very well. My stove is shoved in my hearth so it is very necessary. Its been there since initial install so I don't remember what it cost

Thanks! Do you think you could post pics of how it mounts and how the fan discharges?

The kits are like $450, so I’m thinking of making on; but would like to see how the air is routed and how it hangs.

I will but my stove is hot so its gonna be a few days. Not wanting to squeeze around it unless it's cold. My 220 lb self doesn't fit well in tight places

I figured it may be with the cold front / potential snow up there today; we’re just a bit south of it, but it’s high 30s here now.

Thanks again!

Bump - cheapo, knock off $60 blower kit is supposed to show up in a few days. Hope to mount it before it’s too hot to burn.
