Okay there is the beginning of my venting that comes out of the exhaust pipe of the stove....I don't think it comes apart or if it does...you have to seal it back up.

It's a twist and drop off or more like pull off. Looking up from the bottom it would be clockwise rotation if it's like mine. Inside you will probably find a second cap that slides off. Hopefully it doesn't have RTV sealing inside the joint or it will be mighty tough to get off. I have mine sealed with tape but my venting isn't black ( my tape is silver).
