I just got my heat pro . i had a chat with the tech at SBI . at the top of the SBI home site go on about sbi when the page refresh look at the bottom center in a light color it says our brand they have 7 name brand.

And a subtle but pretty dang important news release
"2016 EPA certified, 5.9 grams per hour"
This was supposed to be WA legal and supposed to be less than 4.5 gph as shown on the drolet website. Now we find that it is a dirty burner just like the 6.6 gph heatmax. So dirty it is illegal in WA. I hope it was a mistake.

The manufacturer site still says "<4.5 gph". Which is right?

Perhaps call SBI and hope to get a straight answer from the manufacturer?
I get a kick out of these gram/hr ratings, my NC30 is rated really clean but is really fussy about draft settings to keep it smoke free (ie keep it hot or it smokes - forget about a low burn on the NC30) Now the Tundra seems to be much less fussy and much easier to keep it burning smoke free yet it's rated much dirtier.
Whether the rating actually is realistic or not is not my concern, but I also can burn any stove dirty if I try. What matters is the actual, official, rating. That is used to determine legality of the stove for those of us that live under laws requiring specific emission rates.

I would bet the Drolet site is correct...seems like Menards pulled their emissions number outta their hat, I've not seen that number anywhere before
I remember 6.6 on the max caddy. I know these numbers aren't really important for day to day use of the thing and that they are quite clean and efficient but, it's important to be legal with our stove installations for several reasons like resale, insurance, law enforcement, etc.

At some point I would expect them to do like they did with the Tundra. On sale and 11% off (under $2k?) Just my opinion, I could be wrong, it would kinda fit their pattern though
Yeah, I would wait at least a year too. The Tundra was out 2 years before the crack issues came up...

For anybody shopping...just noticed that Drolet has a $200 rebate on the Heatpro through the end of January
Might be tempting if Menards runs an 11% off sale between now and the end of January. It'd put the heatpro at ~$2100.
What can you pick up a Max caddy for?
Tundra's working ok but it's just out-gunned by 3400 sqft. and 21 - 40 year old windows. At least the walls are spray foamed + 1" foam board over the sheathing.
-15f this morning when I got up and the house was 69-70F. That's with both the Tundra and Progress Hybrid fired up but not pushed hard. If I'm around to feed them a little more often and with that outside temp it's easy to keep the house 72-73F so don't have too much to complain about - it's just that 10 hours while I'm at work it would be nice to have more capacity.
My old furnace could produce a 5 gallon bucket of creosote within a month......that's dirty. These new furnace's produce almost nothing. When I lined our chimney, I chipped off glaze almost 2 inches thick that was waiting to ignite. What I have now doesn't give me more than a few cups of creosote from our 32' chimney.
Just a heads up, 11% of at Menards (rebate) + $200 rebate from SBI will put the Heatpro just over $2100. both will end at the end of January.
Heatpro on sale at Menards $2299 + 11% Menards rebate put it at $2047....

Yea, I'm considering... but - I think there is more to be had from my Tundra... connect the return air to the propane FA ducting, add plenum and diverters to Tundra's heat exchanger, vari-speed fan control.....
