For a friend. He burned last season with this (then new) stove.
Now he sees the fire gets too much air. So dollar test etc. and the conclusion is that near the hinge there's leakage.

We found excentric pins allowing for adjustment. But it turns out that both pins are already nearest to the stove. So no further moving the door towards the stove possible to close the leak.

The door was not fully latched during the summer (to keep a long compressing from flattening the gasket).

Any suggestions barring a new (thicker) gasket?

Stupid question.

Is it possible the stove was overheated and possibly warped a tad bit?

It's my friend, so I was not there at all times. But in my estimation (of my "education" given to him, and his attitude) it's unlikely.
It's good to check with a straight edge though, which I'll suggest to him.

No stupid questions - and I hope the answer above was not stupid :p

That's a bummer on a new stove but it is under warranty. My first inclination would be to reach out to SBI support. It's usually pretty good.

I'm not sure what the warranty duration is. He got it in March 2023. Did a few burns then. Then the first full season winter 23/24.
So this March it'll be 2 years old.
I did mention him to contact SBI.

I see that the firebox has lifetime (whatever conditions) and the door 5 years. So that is good.

So I'm there now. Dollar test is a bit loose in a place but not such that I would call it a leak.

Turns out he was burning 14% or so pine, not a full load (log cabin style). Waited till the flue probe was 500-550 before shutting the air in one go from fully open to fully closed

Told him that's dry wood, dial down sooner and in steps
