Cutting Rack

Had today off so this afternoon about 2:00 pm I put this together, I cut some hard maple from 16 to 15 inches so I could load north/south in the Liberty. I want to see what type of burn times I get loading N/S.

Nice saw buck, I wish Lopi made a stove the size of the liberty that was deep north south, I guess 16'' is not to bad ? I cut stuff to 11'' to fit in my vista north south.I just use my miter box saw> Have a great Christmas!

I wish the Lopi Liberty was deeper but I really like the stove, I cut my wood before we knew we were getting a wood stove.

Taking an inch off will make a lot of sawdust. I got 3 cords of free wood one time that was too long for my stove and had to cut 4 inches off every piece. I put my two boys to work with a Sawzall as it was not only safer than a chainsaw for them to operate but also it wasted a lot less wood as sawdust. I tried the mitre saw but most of the splits were too big for the saw.
