I wonder if you could fit the parts to a log splitter. Would 22 tons be enough force? I'm not good at this kind of math.Yes, I was imprecise.
My main concern would be whether that would make it hard for a "do it at home" log-maker as compared to a pellet press.
I don't know anything about making pellets, so I don't know the pressure needed. Commercial machines are not simple cylinders, so calculating the pressure is a tad harder if one doesn't know the inside of the drums.I wonder if you could fit the parts to a log splitter. I wonder if you sniff the smoke you get a caffeine hit?
So that’s 3000 psi “ideally” for a 3” logon one face. Then spread that out of all the sides. I’m guessing that’s not enough. But I will say my 14 bar espresso machine can make a kinda dense puck a lot of variables.I wonder if you could fit the parts to a log splitter. Would 22 tons be enough force? I wish lol… the pellets themselves have a coffee smell but the smoke smells like one would expect… burnt coffee lol… the smell of burnt wood is pleasant , this is more burnt toast-ish lolHopefully they smell the same as when the coffee guy here in town fires up the bean roaster!
They worked well during the cold spells for me in my harman 52i… they burn hot for sure. The downside is they do seem to be a bit dirtier than wood but leave very little ash … they are a bit sootier than wood but no odd buildup to speak of .How did these pellets work out for you guys?
Yes they are very hot burning, it’s a lot less feed cycles to regulate to satisfy the esp sensor on the harman, I go through less overnight so that shows btu content is higher as wellAre they noticeably hotter than wood only pellets?
unfortunately i am also in CT, where did you get them?Yes they are very hot burning, it’s a lot less feed cycles to regulate to satisfy the esp sensor on the harman, I go through less overnight so that shows btu content is higher as well
Dean’s stove had them and I believe they still do this year but being as mild as it has been I’m not sure we need the extra btu lol.unfortunately i am also in CT, where did you get them?
awesome, they're right down the roadDean’s stove had them and I believe they still do this year but being as mild as it has been I’m not sure we need the extra btu lol.
