Hi Everyone,
Brand new to the group and to pellet stoves. We recently purchased a home that has a Ravelli Roma insert. I have never used a pellet stove before. But I opened the lid and found some pellets in the hopper. So I gave it a shot. Stove started and ran. But the whole time there was a “breathing” sound. And not a low volume breathing. It sounded like Darth Vader was standing next to me. I’m guessing this isn’t normal. But, I have no idea. I’ve been looking online for a user manual. But have not been able to find one. Also emailed Ravelli. But, no reply. Any info that anyone could provide would be greatly appreciated. Thx!

If it starts out in a low voice saying Feed Me! Stand back, way back.

Any chance of a recording? Maybe normal (not likely)
but if we were to hear it could send you in the right direction

The sound should be constant ,or off for the two blowers. The auger could make many different sounds. I does not run all the time. If you can just run the combustion blower by itself (like when you first start it up) tell us what you hear

Part of the issue may be that I have no clue what I’m doing with the stove. I was shocked I actually got it to light up. I just pressed the power button and then the one and two buttons until it said “start up” or something like that. I’ll see if I can make more sense of it next time. Wish I could find a manual for it. Thx!

The auger was my first thought. It may be partly jammed or have a worn bearing.
