Looking at your before and after wiring pics you posted, in the first pic it looks like you have a green ground, a double white, and what looks to be a grey or black wire attached to the power block, but in the after pic it looks like you have a green, a double white, and what looks to be a brown wire hooked up to it. The camera flash may be distorting the wire colors though.

I can see the double yellow connected to the one of the thermostat block terminals but I can't see what the other colored wire to it is. In the wiring diagram from your manual it shows yellow and black wires going to the thermostat.

That's exactly it. I'm not sure if the colors on the original motor were different, brown instead of black. But that was definitely it. Thanks again for all the help

Self-servicing our own stoves certainly can have its frustrations, but when you figure it out the satisfaction is invariably worth the frustrations. Glad to help with that 'from afar', which is what this forum is all about.
