The #3 snap disc lives on the back side of the auger tube near the top - not sure on the CB how accessible that is. If you follow the vacuum tubing up from where it connects to the vacuum switch it should take you near to where the snap disc is. It has a tab in between the two terminals that is the reset - push it back down if it has popped up to reset it.
But, I called the dealer and without even asking they said I'm do close the the 2 years I could just come down and get a new one.
I'm liking that dealer....who is it? Good deeds should be recognized.
That's the junction box. The control box on my Quad connects to the junction box - on your CB it may be in a different place - it is typically a clear box like in thread # 21 - it has a metal clip that holds it in.
With the stove unplugged, release the spring clip that holds the control box in and take the box out, then re-seat it, then plug the stove back in and see if that gets power to the box.
If your convection blower mounting holes don't line up, I wonder if they gave the wrong blower assembly? Did you keep the old one to check the number on it ?
Yes. looking at this Quad CB video there is a clip that the back of the blower assembly sets in to in order to seat it. Go to the end of the video at 16:05 to see the reinstall process.
Yeh, that shouldn't be affecting your power issues. I'd take kap's suggestion and recheck all your electrical connections - make sure there's no loose or bad spade connectors or melted wires. With the control box visible now try unplugging the stove, wait 30 sec or so, then plug it back in and see if you get a blue flashing light in the box, just to double check.
If there's 110v power going into the control and junction box, but no call light or control box lights then it's likely the box got shorted out somehow - a loose wire touched grounded metal or something. Quad dealers can usually test the control box, or put it in their compatible floor model stove and see if it reproduces the problem.
I'm not sure how your wireless t-stat is wired, but you're sure you got the t-stat jumpered ? Any chance the wires you twisted together are cooked ? Maybe try a separate piece of jumper wire as in the pic I posted above.
Sorry you couldn't get it running. I'd double check the wiring connections - it's easy for something to get bumped and disconnected, make sure the fuse is completely seated, and take your wireless stat wires off and re-jumper with a separate wire as you said, with fingers crossed it's something simple.
Happy New year to you and yours, DK
