using a 14 gauge wire with a 20 amp breaker in residential is against code. that motor might draw 250 watts that wouldn't even blow a 5 amp breaker and all breakers will take a huge startup draw which this motor does not have 15 amp breakers will take a 50 amp startup current. most likely the fan unit. if there is a neutral wire touching ground that will trip the breaker also. if it is a square d homeline breaker don't be surprised if the breaker is junk. homeline has lots of problems.
