Hello, Recently purchased a Castle Serenity 2.0. Having issues with the blower speed, overheating (tripping the high heat sensor and thus shutting down), and side panels becoming extremely hot (420-450* when checked with infrared). Tech services have been great, but also running out of ideas on what is happening. Air flue is half open. Have outside air inlet connected. Exhaust piping is about 8-9 feet total. Am currently running on cycle one with blower almost maxed out to get heat to circulate the house. Side panels are still extremely hot. Had a PelPro before and could touch any part of the stove. This one is a worry for how hot it is getting even on low. Anyone else see this, have ideas, thoughts??

I've had one for going on four years. Depending on where I point the infrared gun I get between 250 and 390 degrees on the side of my Castle Serenity. I'm not sure where my air flue is exactly but it's around half open and I have a little bit less of a run, about 6 feet vertical. I run the Exhaust blower at the factory defaults and the Room blower voltage at 110V for the first three manual settings then 115V for setting four and five. That said I never run it above setting one as it keeps the upstairs warmer than I need it to. Anytime I've ran it at three, four or five for any length of time it kicks the thermal couple and shuts down. The exception to that was when we had a house fire and the house was not inhabitted, we were only coming to work on it. It was forty degree's inside and we had it cranked all the way up but as soon as the house got to around 60 we had to start turning it down as on setting five the thermal couple would activate and shut it down. At this point in time I generally only run it on heat setting one in manual mode. The other settings are pretty useless to me. But yeah, the sides have always been really hot. There just isn't a lot of space and there is zero insulation as far as I know between the sides and the burn chamber.
