BIS tradition CE fan is squealing. We use our fireplace a ton and am sure this is a barring issue but can’t get someone out for a few days. I’ve read mixed reviews about spraying WD40 on the barings for a temporary fix. We sprayed Prestone belt cleaner and it’s stopped the squeaking for now. After doing so, questioning weather or not that was safe. When can I safely relight a fire and not have to worry about it being extremely flammable?

WD40 is not a lubricant, nor is the belt cleaner. Get a small container of 3n1 lite motor oil and use that on the bearings.
