I'm looking for a replacement ash door for a friend's furnace. I'm unfamiliar with the model, but based on the pictures of the back tag I think it's a Clayton 7.1v or 5.6v. Is anyone more familiar with this stove, and able to tell me which model it is (as far as finding a suitable replacement door is concerned)? Any suggestions on where to find a door, or does anyone happen to have a used one they want to part with?

Boy, I'd be surprised if you can still get doors for those...maybe buy a cheap used one for parts?
What's wrong with it?
Can a fab shop make a new one out of heavy steel?
Or maybe contact @lampmfg ...I bet they have a "replacement" for it... ;) ::-)

It was a freebie and he lost the old door during transport. I've got a CNC plasma cutter and plan on cutting a replacement for him if necessary...but I'd much rather just buy a replacement! ;)

I'm waiting to hear back from @lampmfg regarding a replacement smoke flap/hinges for my VF100!

Looks easy to build one.
Try a welding fab shop.
Or the old neighborhood garage,i would build one for it if someone local was looking

I bought one for a VF200 (same flap) a few years ago, it was $20 IIRC...

I highly doubt we have an exact replacement. I just tried calling Dale, but it's hard to get through. @motoguy If you sent us an e-mail a while ago, please send it again. Dale handles all of the furnace stuff, and he's been inundated with questions and helping people with setups right now.

Oh, you have a "replacement"...I'm sure of it...kinda pricey though, as it comes with a "free" VF100 attached to it... ;)
