I’m tempted to split it and use it for my outdoor fire pit this summer since I am sitting pretty good with oak for the stove next winter.

One is never sitting to good on firewood for next winter ;)

First time splitting Ash. This stuff splits like a dream doesn’t it? I had left some rounds with knots in them at the street because I didn’t want the hassle of trying to chop through them. After I found out how nicely these split I went back and got the last remaining rounds I had passed on ha! have some stacked and I just have to finish splitting these larger splits into smaller ones.
