After the pipe is removed from the Welder, it is placed on a bright lighted tube (under operators hand in this pic) and inspected for pinhole leaks. Then the pipe is place in the jig shown on the upper left and lower left of this picture - this jig puts the bead in the pipe as well as the expanded flange in the bottom. This allows one pipe to fit into the other.
