Would you buy a Harman at this point?

Some of their damper mechanisms are problematic as well.
I have been very carefull not to let the damper door open too long or let the fire get too hot with it open. I can see where it would be at risk of problems if its overheated. Its tricky because it does have to stay open until the stove reaches afterburn temps before it can be closed. But im suspecting it cant withstand temps a lot higher than that.

Can one of you explain why it's a downdraft? Air comes in from the bottom, up past the damper if open or thru the after burner if closed and out the chimney
Sure makes for a great fireshow, flame burning downward from the top.
