I would like to elevate my woodstock fireview. I saw someone was getting blasted for having a wood stove on bricks. it's on a concrete floor and I don't want to build up a base. any thoughts?

Bricks are rather small.
What about pavers?
And how is your earthquake probability?

Then I see no issue with that.

I suggest termination blocks and skip the regular blocks. Those could stress crack over time.

so being up isn't an issue?
No, some stoves like a few Jotuls have really long legs.

It's the fear of the stove falling off the blocks. Like mentioned, an area that experiences tremors should be left on legs alone.

No legs so I used 8” block with 2 cap blocks. This is not a finished install yet but the blocks as legs will be.

My NC30 stove is up on an 18" tall stack of dry stacked cinder blocks topped with solid 2" thick paver blocks which is what I believe some folks call cap blocks. Passed inspection just fine and we're in earthquake country they say.
