We currently have a wood stove with a 6” exposed chimney inside the home, that goes into attic and exits roof. On windy days, we get a draft that will come into the wood stove and exit the intake air of stove, as well as work its way through the chimney sections. Is there any damper we can put on either in the attic or roof, to seal off the chimney when the stove is not in use, preventing the cold draft from entering the home?

What would be reccomend for 6” class a chimney then that would work to reduce downdraft during use and no use? I see several different designs.
