I thought about the metal sheet roofing, it would be ideal and much lighter. Any easy way to cut that stuff? Aside specialized tool.

Another option is Ondura roof panels. They're cheaper than shingles and very easy to put up. You cut them with a razor knife. I used them on my woodshed and am very happy. I also think they look a lot nicer than plain metal panels.

As far as the chain saw fix, YouTube has more and more videos of even older obscure saws. Looked up an replacing fuel lines on an old Poulan saw that I got at the Builders Square going out of business sale back in the day and there's several of varying quality.
