As they say, let everyone know you want wood and folks will give it up. A friend from work asked me if I wanted wood and of course I said yes, but I asked why do you want to get rid of it? He said he use to burn but his wife hated it and when he had a chimney fire he had to take the wood stove out. He asked his son if he wanted the wood for his fireplace, but he never came for it so he gave it to me. Three cords of split locust and oak season for two years . It cant get better then this, I load the truck and unload at home stacking. Handling the wood ONLY two times. With this score I have about nine cords of cherry, locust, oak and maple . A few more cords and I'm set , cut a cord or two a year and I won't run out till I'm about sixty.
