We have a Morso 2B Standard (current EPA model) coming this week, and need to buy firewood. Yes, we're late doing that!!
The description for this stove says it takes wood up to 18" long, but the manual says use wood 12" long.
My question is for users of these- what length are you using in the real world?
Thanks.

Stick a tape measure in and take an inch or 2 off that measurement.
That would be your max size.

12" I'm assuming is for loading N/S and 18" would be E/W.

I would look for some bio bricks type compressed log bricks to supplement your most likely wet wood you are about to buy.

This is a N/S loading box stove similar to the Jotul 602. As I recall an 18” barely fits so I would go with the standard 16” when you order firewood. You may also want them split smaller diameter for easier loading in that small firebox.
