Drinking home brew. :)

Working nights tonight and this weekend. But lately I've been enjoying my fall favorites, mostly Sam Adams Octoberfest or Great Lakes Oktoberfest.

Yes. Hubs and I, Jack Daniels by the wood stove fire with the dog on his bed by our feet. :) :) <:3~

I know, I know, it's a wood stove not a pellet stove in this location. Still toasty. :) :)

I'm with nailhead, having a homebrew. But if I had to sit "next" to the stove,I would buy a different unit.I sit next to the stove in a tent, during hunting season.

Yeah, we didn't get our Christmas beer in the carboy in time I'm afraid. And sitting next to the wood stove is the next best thing to camping for us. :) :) <:3~

Perfect! Hubs made a Baltic Porter as a Christmas beer a couple of years ago. That one is going to be hard to top. We planted Cascades hops vines in the yard a few years ago too- they are now producing prolifically. We have several dehydrated bags in the freezer. We have to find some time to make some beer soon!

GOOD GAWD DO WE HAVE CASCADE HOPS. I ordered four rhizomes a few years ago and we are now on our SECOND arbor. The vines completely broke down the first one!

Last night it was scotch and nice heat. Madame DeFarge retired early.

Last night waiting for power to come back on, again : Stevens Point Nude Beach, Flying Dog Old Scratch, ending with Flying Dog Brewery Raging ______, of course

Hey Bio, What's your Newfs name? Male, I assume? My male is Titan, 10 months old, around 125#. Great dog. Had a Berner previously, Jack, great dog as well. Both temperaments are awesome. Her name is Netty and only 100 pounds, 3 years. Trying to figure out a spot on her tongue at the vet today. Just about a Franklin for that and a bottle of pills.
Enjoying a good bowl of Chili from homegrown onion, tomatoes, local pinto beans and beef with topping of smoked cheddar from WI chased with a cheap bottle of Miller beer.

I made a Spruce Ale again this year with 1/2 of the Spruce juice I did last year, and upped the molasses by .5 #. That is carbing up for the past 2 days. Also have some Pumpkin Ale left over and just finished carbing a Bells 2 Hearted Ale clone (harvested the yeast from a few bottle of the same). That one is very close to the original. Had some one over who said they wouldn't have known the difference unless I told them.

Bells Two Hearted is one of my favs, would love to be able to homebrew that someday.

Sipping on a little Buffalo Trace Bourbon with smoked gouda cheese and crackers. Boston vs Montreal, It doesn't get much better.

Nothing better than sitting by the stove with a glass of chilled Apple Pie Moonshine!!

If be interested in the recipe if you could get it to me.. I've googled a few since seeing the original post

Ok, here's the recipe. Enjoy!!

1/2 gal of apple juice. 1/2 gal of apple cider. 1 cup white sugar. 1 cup brown sugar. 4 cinnamon sticks. Simmer for 2 hours. Once it cools, add a bottle of the highest proof, cheapest vodka you can find. Kappys brand for those in mass

The husky avoids the stove yet she loves to sit on couch which is directly in front of the stove. When things get too hot she vacates the couch asks to go outside. The cat sleeps on the stove while its running. If it gets too hot for him the jumps down and lays in front of it like TimfromMA's bull.

Meanwhile, I'm having a Henie or a rum drink! :)

I want a dog now. :-(
