Who will still be on this forum in a month?

I'll be around during the warmer months as I install my stove and chimney. Love the quick feedback here. I have been on here more as of late than the tractor forum I'm on. I see a few familiar names here, so I'm not the only one. As it warms up and the earth thaws, I'll be able to finish up my landscaping project and use the tractor some more.

I look forward to a successful install of my stove and lower heating bills next year.

I'll also check in every now and then, but the trouble with this addiction is I keep wanting to try out more new stoves. Not likely to happen though, as my wife is giving me that rolling eyes look every time I start to think about it!

Freak cold snap blowing through BC Cascades today. Expecting -22 C with wind chill tonight in Valley. Enough dry wood for about 2 weeks more full time burning left. It's becoming a competition to see how long I can go without the furnace tripping. Lots of wet wood piled for next year already, but this year will be tight.

I can't even remember how long I've been a part of this forum, 5 or 6 years maybe? When Spring comes round I get pretty burnt out on the forum and need to take a break and get those spring projects out of the way. But come late summer I start to get the itch and start hanging around here again.

I will be here looking too. When the weather breaks I switch from burning inside to outside. I burn all of my half rotten and garbage wood in the outdoor fire pit. The kids love toasting marshmallows. I will be like most others said switching from daily to weekly visits.

I'm proud to say I don't work for the government and after too much time off, I'll be looking forward to 90 hour work weeks again. It keep s me healthy in mind, heart, body, spirit, and pocketbook.
Color me gone!
But one last joke first: A man bursts into his house and yells, "Pack your bags, Honey, I just won the lottery!"

She says, "Oh, wonderful! Should I pack for the beach or for the mountains?"

That is the year Webmaster changed the whole Hearth.com format. I was around for a few years before the big change and nothing carried over from the old one.

I'm sure like most I'll spend less time online but I will still be around. I'll Be keeping an eye on "The wood shed" and "the gear" we're coming up on "lets see if we can break the splitter" season. I gotta build my new basement wood bin and fill 'er up. Then stack a couple cords outside. I'll be ready for another cozy winter.

I usually always check in when Iam burning/ on a reload. Last year I was burning 10 1/2 months. :down: Most years are only 8.
-34c again this am and 7 cords burnt to hell so far for the heating season. Going to break a record this year. Maybe this May we will get our plus 20s like we normally do. Heres a picture of my buddy on June 8th to let you understand why I would have a fire going when we got home. As much as I love this place stirring things up and trying to help without gettin shot at with the great people that hang here, I dont want to be posting in June. :coolsmile:
