Who all is done burning til this Fall?

Got sunburned Saturday on a fantastic spring day, 79 degrees, and free bourbon and bluegrass at Maker's Mark.. going to be below 40 for a high tomorrow, and lows below or just at freezing for the next 3 nights.. stove is spotless too..

Dakotas Dad, same here in western ky. Not sipping ky. bourbon but enjoyed several days of nice weather working in the yard etc. Actually, even did the spring (dusting the house) ritual which indicates the burning season is about over. But however, will be running the stove for the weather coming in the next couple days

I thought we were done. We ran out of dry wood and hadn't had a fire in nearly 2 weeks. We hit 70° a couple days last week, now it's in the 20s and there's snow expected tomorrow night. Luckily, I picked up a load of rounds on Friday that had been sitting for a few years. I just went out and split some up and they're measuring right at 20% moisture, so we've got a nice fire going now.

We have a winter storm right now and it's been cold. I'm still using the stove. But it's only April. If it's like this in a month yet then I'll be freakin'! Lol

We hit -17C this morning with a windchill of -20C. Propain tank was refilled last week (first time ever that I needed 2 fills in one season). But it is warming up already to @ freezing point, and sunny today. Not seeing anything much colder than @-2 in the long term forecast.

I grabbed up up a big skid of h/w blocks today - the hoarding / stockpiling / scrounging is going to ramp up once the ground clears...

Yeah, it's a balmy 70° here in sunny California as we head into what will likely be a scorching summer... I took the top covers off my wood piles two days ago; see ya in the fall!

Bought four flats of pansies on a sunny 70 degree day---didn't get a chance to plant before it went below freezing so I am toasty by the stove indoors and hoping my pansies survive outside. What was I thinking!

Cleaned the chimney and stove two weeks ago. Now to spend some time fishing and scrounging up 2016 wood.

Its looking like we wont get above 2 c today which is what 34, 36 F? Snow and rain and lots of wind. Still burning for a bit I guess although Im having to burn my good wood now. I wanted to do some yard work today but since I have a cold and feeling like a baby I will curl up in front of the stove instead.

We keep thinking we are done for the year and then the sun comes out and the lows are back into the 30*s. So a small fire late evening holds use through the morning lows.

a cold rainy 47 yesterday evening and this morning. went through 10 cedar splits total. probably same tonight/tomorrow morning.

Yesterday was the first day since October 1 2013 that I didn't have at least one fire in the stove. Probably won't have one today, but it supposed to cool off enough over the weekend that I will likely need one small one per day. Summer is here though.

we have totally the opposite here in Australia - i am normally burning 24/7 by this time of year, 2 days to go until the first day of winter and its still in the 70's most days. I still manage a fire at night, just a small one.

I think I may have had our last fire 2 weeks ago. Looking at the forecast it is looking like we may be done for the year. Who else is done???

I vaccummed the stove out while sweeping and moping the floor day before yesterday. It's been getting up to 90 almost every day and no lower then 62 or so at night. So I figure I'm done till probably late Sept. or early October. Woo hoo!!

I tried to carry in just the right amount for the cold snap we had last week but of course I had to take a couple arm loads back out to the wood pile as usual.
