Im new to the pellet stove world but was gifted this stove. Everything seems to work except the auger only comes on once when you initially hit the on switch but doesnt cycle no matter the dial position. Seems like a control board issue but when on the control board would cause this?

Take a pic of your vacuum switch. Pull the plug on the stove so there is NO power. Pull the 2 wires off the switch and connect them together/jump them. Keep wires from touching stove. Plug stove back in and try it. Let us know😎

Ive already bypassed the vacuum switch and it made no differance. Plus as I mentioned the auger is comanded on (and does turn) any time the on/off switch is flipped. You can pretty much manually operate the auger by flipping the on/off switch every few seconds. But if left in on position the auger does nothing

If you have to run the auger by hand its time for a control board.

I kind of figured that was the case but due to the price/avalability of this board Im looking to repair the board my self but want to see if anyone has advice for diagnosing the specific component that has failed on the board. Does anyone have specs for the function of the control board?

Thanks to the mfg of the boards they are all proprietary, schematics and info is ungodly sparse. My guess would be a diode or cap on the board but without setting it up to test its tough.

I just looked up your board, i found that stove may use a fuse on the 120vac cord that plugs into the stove and a 5 amp 120vac on the board itself so check both

Doesn't apear to be any fuses. I did forget to mention the auger motor and gearbox apears to be new (also has the small nylon gear inside) so it may have failed previously, therefore causing an issue with the control board since there may not be any circuit protection.

Ok that is a much older unit 😳. If the auger has a nylon gear i would disassemble and check that the gear isn't missing any teeth. I will look yours up
