My kmart has Pres-to-Logs ( made by lignetics) for 5.99 a bag. Which is about 10 minutes down the road. The closest agway has lignetics for $279 / ton ( 5.60 / bg) which is about 25 minutes or so away and cost more gas or $30 for delivery. I tried a bag of presto log and they were ok. Of course it was 60 degrees out side. So it would just make sense to get the Pres-to-Logs right...

Hard to beat the Lignetics. To me they are worth the extra time and trouble.

$5.99x50=$299.50

$279 + $30.00=$309

I'd spend the extra $9.50 on the Lignetics in a heartbeat. You would be getting a proven winner. Prest o logs are a little on the unknown.

Are these wood stove logs or pellets?
Pellets....the name just comes from the process of making them...(com)press to logs.

I agree w/ Jay, they are a little on the unknown side. I'd also opt for the extra $9.50 and get the known quantity (Lignetics)

Chris, are they selling the hardwood or softwood version, or both??

BTW, the prices for both of those pellets seems pretty high.....have you checked what the local HD or Lowes has in stock?

well, my local HD and lowes are about 45 minutes away. Last time I asked they wanted almost $70 to deliver. Which was natures heat, which I can get at my walmart @ 5.30 a bag which do no good in my stove.
The only other pellets I found in my local area are from TSC (rocky mtn) which I tried last year and they are not the greatest. Country max has instant heat which lots of ash and not great heat. Both of those are $265 /ton.
I only have a mini van which I can only get about 25 bags in at on time. So I could probably pick the lignetics up for less than $30 delivery fee. So I might just do that..

Also these pres to logs say they contain hardwood and conifer saw dust..
