What month do you usually start burning

Last night got down to 54 here. Around 4PM it really started cooling off. Decided to have the first break-in fire in the 30NC. Only took the stove top to 225 F but burned for a good two hours to cure the paint. High today is only mid 70s with lows in the 50s again. We will probably have break-in fire #2 this evening, but are still a month or so away from burning full-time.

43 yesterday morning and 43 this morning....had two small shoulder fires the past two days to take the chill out of the house. We won't really start burning regularly though until late October.
