We have a building in Orono, Maine that we called the parallel heating systems project.
It has radiant floors in a post and beam building that is foam insulated.

We installed radiant heat, wood boilers of various designs, a ground coupled heat pump and active solar in it.
It was underwritten by an English Professor who taught Stephen King. (King kicked some money in, too, I understand.)

Anyway, the house is now vacant (I would love to live there, next door to Dick's house). And Dick is taking care
of all the potted plants that the professor had when he passed away.

He asked if I would make him a small planter like one of our tanks.

Here tis'. It is insulated, he is still trying to figure out how that might help the plants. :cheese:

Someone mentioned that he has retired from the radio show? Say it isnt so. I can rarely get it unless I am on the road, but always like Dick's contributions. Such a shame the radio station wont podcast it.

Dick is still on the radio with me. He is on from 9-10am. We have him on the phone.
You can hardly tell since he has such a great voice (at age 93!)

He is still riding his bike.
About three years ago, at age 89, he misjudged a truck at a stop light and got hit. He rolled a couple times and, of course, everyone was scared to death.

He would not go to the emergency room, since a student who lived with him was giving a doctoral dissertation and he did not want to miss it.
He was sore as hell for a week and I kept badgering him to at least go to his physician. He did not and is still kicking,

Quite a guy!
