One for the deer. To bad he wasn't a hunter. IMO hunters have it too easy.

Wow that would make me a hunter.
Wait I already am a hunter :-)

I have a set of fake antlers for calling in bucks, Maybe I should bring some splits along and toss them around instead!! Glad the guy was okay though.

Yep, I would take up hunting after that.

I am still a little confused though. If he was a "good sized guy", which I consider myself to be in that category, I can't imagine a 250 pound buck picking me up and slamming me around (for several minutes). Dunno....I guess I have never wrestled a deer before.

I will say that I HAVE had a HUGE buck sneak up and stand face to face with me (about 15 yards from each other). It did take me by surprise, but that buck had been in my area for a few years. Maybe he was just trying to make friends. Hey got so old, that he started to "grey out", but he was still a monster.

I've seen a video where a buck got up on it's hind legs and kicked it's front hoofs at someone, It did a number on the poor guy!

Huh! that was quite an ordeal.

I can't really call him "lucky", but I think he had a good presence of mind to grab the head and hold on. I'd be worried about the hoofs slicing me up.

Now I want to wrestle someting!

I see a marketing opportunity here. A bucket of wood for attracting bucks. Do you think the purchasing departments at BassPro Shops and Cabela's would be interested?

I have plenty of wood on hand all I need is a supply of #2 galvanized buckets spray painted camo.

Dang that is really sad. You just never know, do you. My sister-in-law was in the room at Ft. Hood and lost 4 people from her unit. Maybe that is why this is hitting me kinda hard.

I heard that on the news the other day. Sad, just like the guy last year up here splitting wood and cut an artery and died. Wow. Makes you think.

i would like to see a buck try that on me, i would have grabbed a big oak split and showed him a game of crack the coconut
we had a guy near here that was hiking close to his camp and a black bear came after his kid.. he grabbed a nearby log and threw it at the bear striking it on the head and killing it instantly

Well being it is the RUT and all, I was thinkin maybe if he was wearing his brown Carharts that deer could
have thought he looked a bit sexy, the article said that the deer kept trying to TURN HIM OVER.

I think he got away lucky with just some bumps and bruises. And he kept his "PRIDE" so to speak. :gulp:

It is amazing just how strong deer really are. They can pick up a 250 guy and toss him around pretty easy.

We know a man who raised wild animals and also has a tame buck deer. This deer is 3-legged and the man is over 200 lbs and very strong. He goes inside the pen to feed the deer but one time......during the rut, this buck turned on him and almost killed him. If it weren't for his brother helping, he would have been dead. October through November is no time to mess with bucks unless you have a rifle in your hands.

Yeah A guy around here was killed a couple years ago like that. He had penned deer and sold beagles . He was killed when he entered the pen like any other day but during rut and was gorged to death.

That just goes to prove the only safe place for deer in in my freezer.

And the say Bambi is helpless.

Oh Deer!

I can't believe nobody else said that!

I don't think Bambi has antlers.

Saw this one on another site.
