ll , 86F inside? Yer balmy for sure, LOL. Our living room is a toasty warm 74F. At 86F I want to be close to water I can dive into.

Hackberry and walnut burning down now. Going to let it go out and run a brush down the stack after while. Think I will start it back up on cherry and make the neighbor hood smell like a BBQ joint!

Some oak and yellow birch. The wife just opened up the front door to let in some cold air. I guess I better slow down on putting wood in the stove. Currently around 30 degrees outside.

A mix of white oak and red oak...stove is in the Colin stage now jus raked to front added a small spilt ready to reload..I have found although I love the stove I average he only 5 or 6 hrs on a full load..was thinkin bout doing some sperimentin this spring to get longer burns...

Burned some cookies earlier! All Oak in the stove, and some super-seasoned "featherweight" (2 year C/S/S) white pine, i saved just for the holidays in the fire pit outside.

Burning a weird load of sugar maple. It's 2 years css, is sooting up the glass, with weird intermittent secondaries, but no smoke out of the stack.

Oak, not sure red/white, etc... 2 1/2 yrs old but still some not below the magic 20% I try to pick the pieces that "feel drier" and put the ones that feel wetter outside for drying till next season after I split them smaller. I will MM more splits, but time has been at a premium with Holiday activities, family, health issues, etc... Just glad to know I have enough wood for this season and some for next. Merry Christmas.

Cherry, Ash & Maple was the first load for today. Full load of White Oak for overnight.
Yes cleaned a bunch of ash out from 3 of my not so favorite woods, but I will burn any wood that burns. Crap during the day, Oak at night.

Hi 1st post in this forum.

We had a storm a couple of years ago that dropped 3 red oaks, 2 post oaks and 1 quite large maple in my yard and we are still burning those in the Buck Model 81 insert in the basement fireplace.

Upstairs we are burning Somerset pellets in our Harman Accentra fs stove.

Did that happen when the tornado went through?
