I believe your day is going to become mine tomorrow.

The wood is brought in, I suppose my only discourse is to have another drink to deal with this on the emotional level.

Beautiful hearth. Gorgeous stove. Ugly feet. :shut:

This is like total porn for Rex Ryan. He may join this forum just to see those feet. LOL>

Nice video Todd. I don't know about the feet though, they are a little scary although all feet are scary in my opinion, even my own!! :bug:

I think you need to put the feet closer to the stove.

Ha, didn't even notice my ugly feet in the picture til the end. It's nice walking around in shorts and no shoes during a blizzard.

How much snow did you get Todd?

Late yesterday I looked at the radar and the storm was breaking up all around us. There didn't appear to be much to the west either so I figured it was about all done. What a surprise I got this morning! Wife had to get up early even to take care of her birds. None of them could get to the feeders as they were all covered with snow and it was just wet enough so they could not get through it. Looks like we got 9-10" of the white stuff.

Local snow reports were from 8-12". I don't know how they can measure it with the wind blowing it all around. Still some light snow falling and the wind hasn't died down a bit yet. Temp is dropping as well, looks like another fire in the Keystone to help out this evening.

I got jipped here, only two inches of the white stuff.

I had about 6. The drive disk on my snowblower is shot and I have the replacement but was hoping to wait till warmer weather to do it. This snow proved to me that I have to get on it as it's just not making the old girl move.

Definitely enjoyed having the ice melt quickly from my beard next to the stove. I doubt anyone wants a video of that though :)

I kind a wish I had two Keystones instead of the Fireview. I like the larger glass, ash pan and overall looks of the Keystone better. 1000 sq ft on each level would be just fine for 2 Keystones, anyone want to trade?

If I want to warm my feet I just stand in front of my stove, although floor is sometimes to hot stand on very close with bare feet so I back up till I'm comfortable.
Nice vid of the stove.

Wow - do you think you could get enough heat out of the Keystone to replace the Fireview? On my list of stoves for my addition is a Keystone, but somehow I think I'd be using the heat pump to supplement the 2nd Keystone vs the otherway around.

Thanks!

Yes, I usually don't fill the Fireview to the gills, more like 3/4 full or about the same amount of splits I would have in a fully loaded Keystone, and the Fireview gets reloaded about every 8 hours in mid Winter. I figure 2 Keystones is about 90,000 BTU max or about 3 cu ft of fire box which is plenty for 2000 sq ft especially since it's divided equally on each floor. The Fireview is only 10,000 more BTU's extra. When it's below Zero outside I can burn both stoves low and slow feeding them both twice per day which easily keeps the whole house at 80.

If I was to go larger than the Fireview downstairs I think it would be overkill and I'd be feeding the stove smaller loads to keep the downstairs temps down. Better to have two smaller stoves more suited for each level and a more even heat throughout imo.

looks like me except I keep my socks on Check the avartar.
