Hello

Well, it seems when running the unit on the high heat level setting, the Hi Limit Snap switch pops shutting down the stove at very inconvienent times like 4 AM ! lol

Does anyone else have this problem beside the person in this thread?

Here is the information on the snap disc from the US Stove 5660 manual

On Page 34
The heater will not operate when hot.
Check the 200°F high limit switch. This switch is manually reset, check if it has tripped, if so let cool
and reset switch. Check for cause of overheating, if switch trips again contact your local dealer for
service.

So after some research I found the The Hudson River Sarnac pellet stove and the Ashley AP5660 pellet stoves with the same identical shell use a 250 Deg F snap disc!

I just ordered a 250 Deg F manual reset Hi Limit Switch for this stove from a place in Reno Nevada.

Hi Don2222......
I have a 5660 that overheats on anything above the lowest heat level. I've ordered a replacement snap switch(200F).
How did you turn out with your 250F switch? Thanks, John

My stove takes the same part # snap disc. It never worked right from day one. Mine was loose, so sometimes just walking up to the stove or opening the hopper would be enough to set it off. I ordered a better quality replacement, White Rodgers I think. Never had any more problems.

Hi
The 250 works great. If there is a real overheating problem, then it will shut the stove down but will not pop just because a higher heat level was selected!!
