Earlier this year I bought a used Whitfield WP2 Advantage Insert without the igniter. It works well but I soon discovered that the power only needs to go off briefly to turn the unit off. I tried my APC BN450M 450VA/255W UPS but it did not work.

I bought a GoldenMate UPS off Amazon for $159. It works great. After charging it, I ran the Whitfield on medium settings for 1.5 hours. The charge indicator dropped from 5 to 3 bars in that time. It has power indicator that confirmed the power consumption found in the above thread. Power use was between 75-120 watts. Most of the time it was around 100 watts.
