with a 17 foot insulated ss liner connected to a non cat epa insert cruising at 650-700 degrees stove top temp, primary air cut to under 1/4 open- what flue gas temps would be expected at top couple of feet of liner? I know it’s a pretty specific question but I thought I’d give a specific example rather asking too general of a question. Thanks

Too many variables. Deoends on outdoor temp, wind, nearby trees and architecture.

If you got a dettached steam plume in the air a few inches away from the stack, the gas temp is above 212dF.

If the steam plume starts down in the stack somewhere, the gas temo is less than 212dF at the exit.
