Timber Ridge 2400 sq ft VS Drolet Escape 1800

  • Active since 1995, Hearth.com is THE place on the internet for free information and advice about wood stoves, pellet stoves and other energy saving equipment.

We strive to provide opinions, articles, discussions and history related to Hearth Products and in a more general sense, energy issues.

We promote the EFFICIENT, RESPONSIBLE, CLEAN and SAFE use of all fuels, whether renewable or fossil.
Can't thank you all enough for the help. I've decided against the NC-30. The Drolet's track record is impossible to ignore.

Now I'm waffling between the Escape (paid for and awaiting pickup) or the HT models! Thanks again for all the great info and options

Keep us to speed as you progress with installation. Will your venting system be straight up through the home and out the roof? Preferred for performance.
Centralized location by chance?

We're using an existing brick chimney that goes up the exterior. Needs an inspection, potentially a new liner.
We'll have 8' of stove pipe in the house
Chimney is 30' high (2 storeys)
It's not central, it's in the basement.
