While I was doing my weekly cleaning tonight I figured id take the back panels off the p61a. While back there I noticed a few things that I figured id ask you all about.
1.the oak connection behind the stove was lose. I could pull it off if i wanted to. Should there be a hose clamp or anything on it? See pics.
2. The distribution blower fins had a buildup of light brown dust. I think this may be from the pellet dust when filling the hopper. Agree? Disagree? If so, I think my pellet sifter box that I threw together over the weekend may help reduce the amount of buildup. I took an old toothbrush and cleaned the fins as best I could. Didn't feel like ripping the fan housing off. Wasn't a lot of buildup but while I was back there and the stove was off I figured id make an attempt to clean it.
3. The exhaust connection appears to have an adapter of some sort to make disconnecting the stove little less painful. Is that correct? See pics.

#1 OAK doesn't need to be tight. If your getting a breeze from it you could seal it. But that makes it harder to come off.

#2 Use a tooth brush and some compressed air to clean it. As it builds up it effects tha amount of air it moves. It also makes them run out of balance. I clean mine about once a ton.

#3 I let a Haramn owner answer that one. Might have a gasket to seal it. Better check before you remove it. Have on handy JIC.
