What are u guys using for thermometers on your storage tanks. I will have around 14" of cellulose insulation around the tank sides. Is there a bulb type with a line to extend out beyond my insulation ?

I though of using a similar setup to measure water temp & flue gas temp(outside of pipe). Does this one transmit through walls? RandyManiacPD said:http://www.partshelf.com/maet73.html
These have two probes, one is designed to be used for a smoker and the other for grill. I put the grill one on the supply and the smoker on the return and then I can see what my tank temp is from the comfort of my recliner. Been using them for 2 years and they work great, plus they're cheap.

This looks like it would make a nice setup. Wish the cords were a little longer so I could put one at the top and one at the bottom.
