I want to correct the immage of potential receivers Its not like they are poor. they are people with older poluting stoves that will continue burning them .
because an modern EPA stove is not in their budget. I target ones that have a setup that requires as little as possible installation problems.
I have a familly that has this old 70's convection box He is an employed electrician and has two childern 70 type cape home nothing elaborate making ends meet.
Process his wood scrounges for it. He has an internal class A chimney the required NFPA 211 hearth setup pad all that is required is new connector pipe and installing
the replacement. I waant to keep it simple as other members are volenteers like me and I do not want to get into remodeling one home to get a stove in.

For any program to work it has to have initial sucess Part ## 1 the stove part # the replacement setup. Sucess breeds sucess A little publicity helps encourage others to participate like manufactures.. In this world talk is cheap. At some point actions separates the talkers. I'm a doer,, I get things done. The other benifit it will be recorded her and set an example of what could be involved for other older owners of poluters to consider swap outs. It also does not hurt to see our members helping out with back and forth Banter as to why or what sequence to do tho achieve the final install
GVA Turner and I over came a differcult liner install at turners home beciause GVA and I wouked out a way to get it by the bad offset and through the damper.

For those that are new here I also installed Hot Flames' stove last year aftet his dealer did not follow threw in the deal. then the 4 refurbished stoves sitting in homes tioday working whivch had nothing to do with this forum.. I would love to get a Century or Englander insert at a good price for another reciever that is willing to pay for the liner.

Anyone checking in MA Home Depots, that sees an Insert on sale please let me know.

Moneys will be mailed to Harley. Best to have an accountant hande them It looks like the Century FW 2700 because the englanders NC-12 have not been discounted

The Certury FW 2700 has been bought this morning. All remaining pellet and wood stoves are 50% off the
Englander Nc 13 retailed $649 now $325

I bought the Century tax included $301 and change

If any one sees an insert pleas let me know

I'm in for $32 to make up the balance Elk. PM me with the particulars of where to send the funds. Do you have a PO box for those who wish to remain annonymous?

Well Mike decent prices?

Thanks Elki

I stopped by Home Depot in Crannberry PA. They still have 2 Englander 25`s , 2 13 NCP`s and 1 12 ppc. All at fire sale prices. Pellet stoves too but I didn`t look at the prices. Everything is 50% off though.

I pulled the trigger on an Englander 13-NCP. Before tax it was $324.50 . I needed heat for my wood shop. At these prices I could not walk away. I cannot stop grinning, thanks Elki.

Elk,
South Attleboro Home Depot had the same deal, 50% off all wood and pellet stoves. I got a call from a friend who works there who knew I wanted a pellet sove and I ran right down. I got the last Englander 25-PDVC they had. I had a coupon for an additional 20% off. I picked it up for $460.00. Can't complain about a deal like that.

As of Sat they still had a few 13 NCL's, and two 25-PDV's.

Way to go dude! These are some great prices.

Really I was tempted to purchase the Englander, but another $30 for a similar stove. I looked both over and the NC13 had not been marked down yet, so I bought the Century

I think the only reason it was still there is the price and sku info was missing from my last trip It took Home Depot 30 minutes to figure out what to charge me without a sku to scan
they are helpless.. I thank you for the generosity

I have a recipient in mind but wonder if this stove has equal BTU as to the one it would replace. I have not spoken to him yet to discuss it so I open to situations in eastern MA there abouts

I would go to CT RI and western MA if some one has a replacement situation in mind.

I will be looking for assistance from the members in Eastern MA.

Don In Ct want to get involved to video this?
Special thanks to Harley for helping put this together And to all the contributed. I don't know what to say but realise The trust you placed in me
I will try my best to bring honor to the Un official donor program

Again this might be a good way for a few members to socialise and meet. Naturally Beer will be on hand

Wish I could attend, though not with "Natural" beer. I like my beer/ale rowdy and raw.

Give us a time and date for the stove party, if possible the girlfriend and I will be there, and can probably bring some of my home-brewed mead...

Those prices are fantastic, but far as I can tell, all the stoves that are involved are top vents, and my setup requires a rear vent in order to even consider it. :-/

If we are having a stove party, I would be more than happy to make the LONG LONG drive up to Mass to meet you all and drink some brews. Maybe I could even convince the girlfriend to come for the ride this time. I was awful lonely all the way up to North Grandy, CT and back to pick up the aspen.

Elk, I still haven't gotten out that pipe to you. May be a little while until I can do so with the new job and whatnot, but it's got your name on it. Corie, I don't want to exclude you from the good work you are trying to do as well. I'll send you $50 bucks for your donor program also. PM me and we'll iron out the details. By the way, any word on that fan?

I also want to give Craig a big thanks for the resource here at Hearth. Thanks Craig!

And to all those who donated for the program... here's a cold one on me! I hope others have contacted Elk behind the scenes to donate a few bucks or perhaps volunteer their labor. Wish I could be there to help with the actual install. Cheers everyone.

In Syracuse the 25 PDV pellet stove was discounted to approx $850. There were about 4 on the floor at this price.
