The only time that happens here is when someone just ripped up an old rotten deck and they want you to take away a big pile of jagged, half rotten pile of 30 year old pressure treated lumber, half of it infested with spiders and it still has all the screws in it.

Must have been a clap of thunder shortly after that guy posted that first ad when the air rushed in where the pile of wood used to be.

a tree guy by me would drop off a truck load cut 18'' oak maple..if he couldn't find someone to take it he would have to pay to dump it...that has ended there are so many more people selling firewood.they still give it a way,but not cut up.

Haven't had luck that good, but we usually pick up a couple of loads of wood chips for mulch every year by asking tree guys who are taking down trees in the area. Folks who work for the power company will not drop chips off. Guess they are somehow worried about liability issues.
