You ain't seen nothing till you see one in person. The quality is top notch. I took about 200 lbs of stuff off of it and two guys carried it right in.

Here's the first fire in my new ideal steel. I haven't posted here before but I got a lot of information from this site before I bought the stove so I wanted to say thanks. Haven't used the stove enough to say how great it is, but overall I'm happy. If you're used to a soapstone stove with an enamel finish--as I was--the painted steel finish might be a bit disappointing, but I think I'll get used to it. Also a new hearth. I used norstone for the back and slate for the pad, which I built myself, but hired someone to set the stone and tile. Stove color is brown metallic w/ surfstone. I'm happy with that.

Nice install.

Looks great!!! I want to order one soon!!

Few Quick questions; How far is the rear of the stove from the back wall? Is the wall a constructed heat shield (1" air space behind it)?

Did you utilize the rear metal heat shield Woodstock can provide on the back of the stove?

I'm drawing up plans for my install and I'm curious.

I love the look of your stove. Did a great job!!!

Very nice stove. I want one in the same way Ralphie wanted a Red Ryder BB gun, but living in a mobile home limits my choices.

Thanks. It's about 11" from the back wall, but that's mostly because the bend in my stove pipe won't allow me to move it back further, (I used the old pipe and painted it to match). I did get the heat shield. It was about $55. I figured why not. I used 1/4" cement board between the plaster and the stone veneer, which is about 1.5", But no air space between. I've had the stove to 500 so far and not much heat on the back wall.

That looks great. I have read some very positive, detailed Beta Tester reviews of this stove on the other site, and I think you will be very pleased with its performance.
