* All the sixty-eight (68) contiguous county area of the Lower Peninsula is quarantined as Level I. Movement of hardwood firewood within this 68 contiguous county area is allowed; however, movement of hardwood firewood out of Quarantine Level I and into the Upper Peninsula (UP), Canada, or other states is prohibited. "
I havn't bought any fire wood for camping for years. The DNR will sometimes ask if you are bringing wood into the campground I always tell them yes, and thats the end of the questions. I live in the upper so I can bring it south I just can't bring any left over back with me. I keep my hard wood for the stove and burn pine and birch off my property when camping.
