Ah jeez Dex, let 'er rip and burn some of the tar out baby! A hot stove is a happy stove, I don't think I've ever burned on low, I like that white kiln ash look inside Alright, back on topic. So if the call light ain't on, she ain't calling so the stove would go out. Does the tc override the call light? Meaning would the call light not be lit if the tc was not happy? I don't think so, but just a thought, I liked the tc 'snug the cover' on trick. How are you measuring temps? Dex, if it overfires it is tripping the high temp, right? I honestly think I've only done that a few times, and you know what I've put thru my stove, so I bet that is doubtful. I'm all in that either a) the room temp is not what it seems, or b) the high temp is faulty.
