I have a hardwood cabinet shop by me and they said I can have the cut offs and scraps to use as kindling. Is it ok to burn this in a stove
 
Not pressure treated, not painted/varnished. You should be good. That's all my dad ever used for kindling.
 
As mentioned if its "clean" go right ahead...just be warned that it will take off and get with program in a hurry!
 
Nice connection to have.
Have a friend who sells his scrap from making baseball bats. Both his 4 foot splits down to the trim offs from the lathe.
