I just installed a new to me king wood pellet stove, my old Breckwell went out and my old stove had a straight pipe leading outside. So I built my stove up with blocks and now have my pipe going straight out. I’m getting a smoke smell in the house. I read online that you’re not suppose to have just a straight pipe but I did on my Breckwell for over 25 years. My exhaust fan does have a lot of soot on it. I ordered a new one online should be here by the end of the day. I’m gonna replace it and see but just want to see what everyone thinks about me having a single pipe coming out of the stove. It’s about 18 or so inches from the adapter
