Hello. I live in Denver Colorado. My stove, a rais 86, has a roll pin installed in the primary air adjusting grate. The pin prevents the grate from opening 100%. I was thinking that maybe the pin was installed to optimize for sea level operation and that at 5280 ft I should increase the air flow for more O2 and thus better mixture ratio and combustion. Is this a stupid idea? Is a limiter on the primary air typical? If I remove the pin what is the best way to judge if the stove is to hot, i.e. to much air?

Thanks in advance!
Bill
