My wood stove will move a little if I put much pressure on it loading wood or bumped into by one of the dogs.
Not much but it can move.

Its a relatively cheap northern tool defender. It was light enough that I was able to pick it up by myself to bring inside with some strain.

Anyway, should I bolt it in place to keep it from moving? I haven't seen anyone else do this or mention it...

It's not like it's just going to tip over or something, but moving a quarter inch here or there might put some strain on the pipes

There's no harm if you want to. This is required for mobile home installations.
