Shelburne baffle guard-is this in the right way?

I had someone over to sweep the chimney and stove, and in the process they pulled out the baffle guard, replacing it before they left. It looks like it's okay, but I also don't remember the two cutouts for the screws holding on the top being visible from the inside. Then again, I haven't spent a lot of time lying on the hearth looking up at the interior of the stove. Does this need to be reversed somehow?

I think you are correct. The parts diagram shows it in this position.

Hearthstone has some technical bulletins online, and the one for replacing the baffles shows the baffle guard from above with the top off.
