I have sealed the flue inside of the chimney with high temp sealant. Is that needed on my connections of single wall to the fireplace and the three sections through the elbow sweep to the flue? I'd like to ensure I can clean the flue and figure I'll need to take sections apart for access.

Normally sealant is not needed. More importantly, make sure the crimped end of each section of pipe is pointed downward, toward the stove.
