After reading the Whistling Dixie thread last night I started thinking.

I can hear a little whistling in my stove when it's burning, particularly when the cat is engaged. I assumed it was supposed to be that way...but maybe not?

When the stove is off/cold, if I open the lid I can hear the air drafting up the chimney. I assumed the whistling was also the drafting, only hotter. :)

I don't smell smoke in the house, but if you stand near the stove when it's burning you can definitely hear a whooshy/whistling noise.

Normal, or not?

TIA!

Mary
